Our first Valentine's Day....(married)

Hi everyone!! I wanted to let everyone know what an amazing husband I have, so I wanted to post a blog about it. We had a great Valentine's together, first time as a married couple.  I told Adam to write his view of the day so below is what he thought of the day and my view of the day is below that LOL!! :)

Adams View-  Valentine's Day rocks!!!  At least, it does when you're married J.  I love my Ashley!!!!  She gave me the most amazing gift ever.  You see, anyone can go out and spend money and get you something they know you want … but it takes a special kind of somebody to give a truly thoughtful, lasting gift.  Ashley put *tons* of love and *tons* of time in my gift.  As you can see in the pictures, it's a kind of scrapbook, but more.  It's got pictures and cool artistic titles and poems and quotes and all that, like any well-done scrapbook.  But it also has hidden pockets and secret compartments and all sorts of other cool things filled with fun stuff.  It's incredible.  I love it.  I'll have it forever and cherish it forever.  It's the type of thing you can look back on, bring up great memories, and share with children.

My gift for Ashley didn't take as much time and planning and thought, but I did try to make it creative.  I made her a nice dinner, by candlelight.  I gave her a stuffed puppy and some flowers inside a balloon.  And I decorated the apartment with streamers and balloons and (borrowed) lights and put on some music (actually from a CD that was hidden in that amazing book she gave me) and we had a dance.  The who theme was kind of things she always says she wants.  Flowers, a puppy (OK, I cheated a bit), and a dance.

All in all, it was a great day, and one to remember.  It was a ton of fun, we had a great day together and made some new memories.

Ashley's view-  I had a great day!! I had no clue what Adam had planned and BOY was I pleasantly surprised!! He made me hide in the den so that I couldn't see what he was up to. I was probably in the den an hour before he came and got me. As I walked out of the den all the lights were off but I could see some light coming from the living room and I got closer I could see lights on the ceiling that we going around. They looked like lights for a dance. The coffee table was gone and there were streamers everywhere. I looked at the kitchen table, he had prepared dinner and had candles and a gift sitting by my place. It was the cutest thing you have ever seen. He began by saying my gift to you is three things you have always wanted which are 1. flowers 2. a puppy 3. to dance with him. All of those things came true expect the puppy but I got a very cute stuffed puppy instead which is just fine. I named her Daisy!! Adam made one of my favorite things for dinner spaghetti with sparkling cider. After we ate we got up and slow danced in the living room to some of our favorite songs.  I wished I could stop time and stay in that moment forever (or at least a while). Although I was not dressed up fancy it didn't matter I had everything I needed at that moment in time. I loved every minute of it and had so much fun!! Thanks for a great Valentine's Day to never forget. MUAH!!!

Take a look at some of our pics from the day, plus some of the little book I made for Adam :)
