This Halloween Means a Whole Lot More!!

I am much more excited for Halloween this year not only because of the costumes or the candy but because the 31st means that Adam and I have been married for 5 months. YEAH!! I am so glad to be able to share this fun hoilday with him.  I have enjoyed the past five months so much. Though it has not always been easy it has been the best experience of my life. I dont know of anyone I would want to spend eternity with! We both are so different but at the same time so much the same. I love being my own person but then to be able to have our times when we laugh because we say the same thing at the same time or that on brains are on the exact same wave lengh, that may not be medically possible but who cares it works for me. All and all I love it!!

ALL ABOARD THE TAFT EXPRESS!!!

So today I dressed Taft in a new outfit and it is all about trains and if you cant tell from the pics i'm going to post its tanish-brownish courdroy overalls with a a train in the center. I also put some little blue shoes on him he tries to kick them off and I put them right back on so he can get used to things on his feet.. I edited the photos in picasa so they look extra cute enjoy....

Taft's Cute-As-Can-Be Halloween Costume

So I know it's not Halloween yet but I wanted to try Taft's costume on him to see if it was going to fit him or if he needed to get a smaller and after wiggling him in it since he was not cooporating very well the costume looks so cute and so I had to take a few pics while he still enjoyed being in it!! He is getting his pics taken professionally on Thursday so we will see how that goes....

Adam's New Job!!

So I wanted to post and let everyone know that Adam has found a new job and we are so excited and couldn't be happier about it. He is going to be working for Spillman Technologies as a report writer earning great money and providing us with health ins and other great perks. I am so grateful and feel so blessed for this amazing opportunity that Adam has been given that will help our little family!! They are very good to there employees and it will be a great enviroment for Adam to work in since he has not had the greatest luck with jobs. This is a job that he can learn and grow from and also make a career out of.  I am very proud of him and what he has accomplished. I know he will do great at whatever tasks are placed in his path!! He is the kind of person that will give his responsibilites 110% and do whatever it takes to get the job done right! I am excited to see what this job will bring to our family and I know Adam will do a fabulous job.  We are so grateful for the blessings of a loving Father in Heaven!!

Baby Taft is Three Months Old Today!!

I can't believe Taft is 3 months old today my how times flies!! He has grown so much and gets cuter and cuter everyday! He is beginning to be a lot more talkative and smiles a ton more than he used to.  He has learned he has hands now and I have caught him on more than one occasion sucking his thumb.  I dressed him up all cute and took some pics of him on his b-day so here they are enjoy.

5. Who is taller? I am, but not by all that much

7. Who is smarter? Book smarts probably me, but she is *way* smarter in the things that really matter (like how to raise a family and run a home)
8. If she is sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen? Judge Judy, Big Brother, or something of that nature

10. Who does the laundry? Mostly her, but sometimes I pitch in, and I usually put them away

13. Who cooks dinner? Almost always she does, followed by eating out, followed by the rare treat of my ridiculously ... um ... good cooking.  Right.
14. Who is more stubborn? I am most of the time, but she certainly has her stubborn streaks!
15. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Despite that answer, I usually am

29. Who will he vote for? She'll vote, but she's displeased with both and doesn't think either will do us any good.

35. Did she play sports in high school? She was a manager (right word?) on the volleyball team
37. What is your favorite thing about her, both physically and emotionally?  Physically: Her face when she's smiling innocently at me.  Emotionally: How understanding and caring and loving she is.  She always knows what I need and always loves me no matter what.

An Adventure to Palm Springs with Taft!!

So I haven't written in a while so I have a lot to catch up on. I have recently gone to Palm Springs with Taft and his mom Melissa. She had a conference to go to so we tagged along with her. I had no idea what would happen since this was the first time I had gone away from home without family with me and also to take care of Taft. I was excited to see what adventures this trip would bring for me. We had a great flight to Orange County, Taft slept the whole plane ride which was very helpful. When we landed we got our rental car which was a Pontiac Vibe. It was a joke trying to fit my suitcase, Melissa's two suitcases plus the stroller which isn't small!! then trying to get Taft in plus ourselves it took us a few minutes to figure out what our game plan was going to be. We then had to drive to Palm Springs which was about 106 miles from the airport so we began our drive and Taft slept the whole way. What a good baby!! After a long drive we got to our destination we unpacked and got settled in for the night. Lets just say I ended up waking up almost every 3 hours with the baby during the night. He was having a hard time sleeping in a new environment and crib. I felt bad for him! So after the first night I decided to see if sleeping in his car seat would work better since he loves his car seat while playing music from my computer as well, but nope he still woke up every 3 hours so I was tired and he was tired so while he was napping in the morning I did the same even though it wasn't a deep sleep it helped as much as it could I guess.  Since Melissa was working she told me that Taft and I were going to go to dinner with her co-worker Desirae to anywhere we wanted so we chose the Cheesecake Factory and it was so YUMMY and it was super nice to get out of our hotel room for a while and enjoy the trip! The next day I packed up my stuff and Taft's while Melissa was at work so that it would be ready to go when she got back. We left the hotel and went to lunch with some of Melissa's co-workers it was so fun to get to meet them and put names to faces. Then we began our trek back to the airport. We made it there it plenty of time to catch our flight and get through security which by the way is a joke especially with a baby. For example we had to take care of our stuff first then take Taft out of his car seat fold it down send it through then fold the stroller down and send it through while trying to catch your stuff coming out the other end so itdoesn't start making everything back up after you get your stuff together and trying to but the baby back together and packing up everything so it fits just the way you had it before so you can get on the plane makes any human being in need of a nap!!! LOL. Anyway all in all it was a good learning experience and fun as well and I'm sure there will be more trips in the future. 

P.S.  It was 113 degrees in Palm Springs while we where there so we didn't leave the hotel room except when we had to!

36. He could spend hours doing what? Being on his computer and downloading programs he is always trying to improve it anyway he can.
37. What is your favorite thing about him, both physically and emotionally? Physically would probably his deep brown eyes they just pull you into a place you never want to leave.. Emotionally I guess I would have to say just knowing he will be there for me threw thick and thin!! Also he is always telling me he loves me and that makes me smile!! :)
