{FAN} Friday

There are many things I am a FAN of and I wanted to spotlight one a week (if I can remember to do so) lol! This week I am a FAN of

Before In-N-Out came to Utah I had eaten it once before, so when it finally arrived I was stoked! I have never eaten so many hamburgers and fries in my life. I am usually not a hamburger FAN but lately whenever we are out that's usually what I'm craving. I even make late night trips to get a snack. It's so silly considering its just a hamburger for crying out loud. I don't know what it is about theirs but I love them! I can't wait to eat another one!! LOL

{SWEET}

I didn't think Nala could get any cuter then she already is and then I capture moments like this and then I realize not only how sweet and innocent she is but how blessed we are to have this sweet puppy in our lives!

Finding a New {Comfort Zone}

So as many of you know Adam had a kidney stone recently, now that it is all settled and over with we now have to do things to prevent new ones from happening because heaven knows how awful they are. I don't want to see my love go through that again. Lets back up a tiny bit, a few months ago we got the test results back from the lab and learned that Adam's cholesterol is high and his triglycerides are high as well. So because of that he was put on a low fat, low carb, low sugar diet. If you know me you know I don't cook, I hardly did before except for skillets and easy oven things. So to actually have to follow a recipe and plan a menu your looking at the wrong girl to do the job. Growing up I hardly cooked a meal I helped but rarely did I make one from scratch. So this new wifely duty was taking me really out of my {COMFORT ZONE}. I have been planning a menu and cooking for my love for the past 3 weeks and then we had a follow up with the Urologist to see what caused the kidney stone in the first place. Well now we have to have the diet low in Oxalates as well. So now I have to find things that are not only low in fat, low in carbs, low in sugar, and now low in oxalates !! A lot of the things that are high in oxalates we have been eating. I had no idea this would be so hard. I was just getting used to the diet from before and now this so I have to come up with a new game plan. We are not going to adhere strictly to all of the restrictions but we will do the best we can. It really has been a great and frustrating learning curve but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep my honey healthy and I know its good for me as well. The food actually tastes better then store bought frozen meals but its takes a ton more effort. Adam has been so willing to pitch in and help with the cooking so it has brought us closer in that sense as well. I know that what we are doing is improving not only his lifespan but mine as well. It has really been a struggle but it will be worth all the work and stress. I am grateful that life puts things in my path that test me and make life more interesting and fun. Although it would be easier to just stick something in the microwave I am determined to come out of that {COMFORT ZONE} and into a new one!

Were alive & well...I promise!

If those of you that read our blog have seen that we have not posted in awhile. I can tell you we have good reasons at least I think so. Since not many people read our blog I didn't think it would be a big deal that I skipped a month. I have been taking a break from blogging and it has been nice, don't get me wrong I love our blog and I love blogging but its been nice to have a break. We are all here and well for now, we have been busy with life lately. We had an amazing anniversary trip to Las Vegas in May and then celebrated my birthday on June 4th a few days after that Adam got diagnosed with a kidney stone with a crazy trip to the ER one that I don't want to soon repeat. We are about to celebrate Adam's birthday on Wednesday the 14th and at the time we will both be 25 years old. While on my blogging break I have had the opportunity to photograph James and Laryssa's wedding (Adam's cousin) it was a blast! I have also had the chance to do a few other photo shoots and I have one coming up. Nala turned 11 months old this past Saturday and next month we will celebrate her 1 year old bday I can't believe we have made it this far. We love her more then I thought possible. Adam has been busy coding with his friend Sean and also trying to study Calculus to get ready to take his Calculus based Physics class in August. Adam's parents were able to come down and visit and also for the wedding and it was nice to get to visit with them since we don't see them much. We have seen a bunch of movies since I last blogged and have had many fun date nights. From now on no more blogging breaks I am hopping back on the blog bandwagon and will hope to keep it more updated from now on.

Here is the lastest pic of Nala
