BaBySiTtIn ThE cUtIe PiE!!!

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to babysit baby Taft! I was so excited to see the little guy, since I have not seen him since Jan 2nd. I had to wake up super early to get to there at 6:30am so Melissa could catch her plane to Seattle. Taft didn't wake up til almost 8 and I was dying to see him!! I had grown so close to him from being his nanny to the point I hardly ever was apart from him so it was a chance to get re-acquainted with him. When I first picked him up he looked at me like who are you, then after it registered in his little brain he smiled real big and put his head on my shoulder like as if to give me a hug... it was so cute. We watched him til 11pm at night and not once did he cry!! He is such a good baby. I took a pic of him, he is getting so big and can now sit up by himself, roll over and grab things and stick them in his mouth!! He has the cutest big blue eyes I have ever seen. I had a blast spending time with him!! Here is the pic I took of him...isn't he a cutie!!

Some crazy facts about Friday the 13th

I found this article on Yahoo, I have always thought it was neat when a Friday the 13th came along.... But other people don't like it as much!! LOL

If Friday the 13th is unlucky, then 2009 is an unusually unlucky year. This week's Friday the 13th is one of three to endure this year.

The first came last month. The next is in November. Such a rare triple-threat occurs only once every 11 years.

The origin of the link between bad luck and Friday the 13th is murky. The whole thing might date to Biblical times (the 13th guest at the Last Supper betrayed Jesus). By the Middle Ages, both Friday and 13 were considered bearers of bad fortune.

Here are five of our favorite Friday-the-13th facts:

1. Fear of Friday the 13th - one of the most popular myths in science - is called paraskavedekatriaphobia as well as friggatriskaidekaphobia. Triskaidekaphobia is fear of the number 13.

2. Many hospitals have no room 13, while some tall buildings skip the 13th floor and some airline terminals omit Gate 13.

3. President Franklin D. Roosevelt would not travel on the 13th day of any month and would never host 13 guests at a meal. Napoleon and President Herbert Hoover were also triskaidekaphobic, with an abnormal fear of the number 13.

4. Mark Twain once was the 13th guest at a dinner party. A friend warned him not to go. "It was bad luck," Twain later told the friend. "They only had food for 12." Superstitious diners in Paris can hire a quatorzieme, or professional 14th guest.

5. The number 13 suffers from its position after 12, according to numerologists who consider the latter to be a complete number - 12 months in a year, 12 signs of the zodiac, 12 gods of Olympus, 12 labors of Hercules, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 apostles of Jesus, 12 days of Christmas and 12 eggs in a dozen.

A bunch of words that mean something to us!!

I saw this cool thing on another blog and thought I would do one for ours. It is a "word cloud" which is a bunch of words that are found on our blog but in a jumbled form!!

It's kinda neat looking and fun to do....if you want to make one for your blog go to www.wordle.net and create your own!! It's free too....

What is all the fuss about......

There has been so much talk about this season of the Bachelor, that I wanted to put my two cents in.  I have watched the entire season this year as with most years LOL... but this year the ending was something that has been a big controversy.  I was shocked!! There are those that hate Jason for what he did to Melissa and those that can see the good out of the situation. For those of you who don't watch the show, its about a guy who gets a chance at love with 25 women and at the end usually proposes to one of the final two. This season was going just as it should until finale night. In the end Jason choose Melissa over Molly, which was fine with me. I liked them both!  They had a special broadcast right after called the "After the Final Rose" where Jason had something to tell Melissa. There had been 6 weeks between the time the finale and the "After the Final Rose" so enough of time to work things out and discuss their future. Anyway after the show ended, Jason said things were just not working out with Melissa and that he still had feelings for Molly and felt he needed to end things with Melissa.  That would be so hard on a person not only to do it in private but on national TV, of course Melissa was hurt and angry as I would be. She was so confused about what to think and why all of this was happening and why he didnt want to work on there relationship.  Jason said he was just following his heart, head and gut.  After Melissa leaves and they bring out Molly she has no clue what has just happened with Melissa and as Jason explains what has just happened and wants another shot at their relationship. By the look on her face it looked like she thought this was a joke and that this could not be happening to her.  After a bit of conversation she agreed to give their a relationship another try. On Tuesday the had "After the Final Rose part2" to wrap everything up and both said that they were happy and in love!! Now comes my 2 cents.... I think Jason did the right thing for him.  He might have been in love with Melissa at the end of the show and when they got back to the real world it didn't work I'm sure that is possible. It just shows how much Jason cares for Molly. I would rather have a guy tell me that he didn't want to marry me before we got married then a year or 2 into it. As much as people say what a horrible person Jason is, how could he do that to Melissa. I have been in a situation where I loved a guy but I knew it wasn't right to marry him, I could have said nothing and just married him instead but I had the courage to end things before I couldn't anymore. It was the hardest thing I had to do when it comes to relationships but if I would have known what was ahead of me I would have ended it in a heartbeat!!! I don't think anyone can judge what Jason did until they are in his shoes. I am glad he had the courage to do what he did. As I was watching the Ellen Degeneres show today and she had Judge Judy on and she made a good point about the show. She said that "If your willing to go on national television to find love you have to accept the risks that might come with it good or bad". I think that hits the nail right on the head ....with that I end by saying love the show or not it sure gets talked about as I am proof of that right now!! LOL

Winner is Molly

Melissa

Jason

A visit to Sara's A.K.A. Provo!!

Yesterday Adam and I went down to Provo to visit Adam's sister Sara for her birthday. She was so excited for our visit since she was worried that she wasnt going to get anything special for her 20th birthday. WOW I can't believe Sara is 20.... Even in the short time I have known Sara it still sounds crazy that she's 20. Anyway I told Adam I could not stand for my lil sis to be alone on her birthday, yeah she has good friends around her but nothing beats family. Especially since most the family is not in this state except for Adam and I. I told Sara we were coming and boy was she excited to know that she wouldn't have to spend it alone. I love making people happy and having the chance to be there for her on her special day was even better. Sara is a ray of sunshine in our family and is so fun not only to talk to but to be with. She is the most Christ like person I know, she is so willing to help and serve. She tries to be the best person she can be. She brings such a sweet spirit and kindness not only to those closest to her but to everyone she comes in contact with. I know I am a better person for knowing her and I have grown to love her like a sister. So thanks for a having a birthday little sis!! I'm sure that everyone knows but she is going to go to Romania in a little over a month for three months and boy will we miss her!!! Thanks for welcoming me into the family so whole-heartedly sis. I know Adam and the rest of the Collet gang will agree with me when I say that theres no one else like her....what a joy she is!! Love ya Sara!!
